Packing Gadgets for Your Cruise Travel
Gadgets to bring on cruise
Consumer Electronics are equipment or gadgets that are purposely designed for everyday use. Mostly, electronic gadgets are used for entertainment. When a person travels, clothes are not only the necessary thing to bring. In this modern era, every traveller needs a corresponding gadget to make his or her life more pleasant. One of the things that distinguish a cruise from other forms of travel, is that it sails to different ports and you cannot shop for gadgets while sailing. Hence, it is practical to bring important gadgets as you travel in a cruise.

Cruise Ship Wi-Fi Connection
As with hotel rooms, there are limited electrical outlets in cruise cabins. So, it is advisable to bring a wall mount power outlet with three outlets or a safe and newly purchased extension wire. Flat irons, hair dryers, hair curlers and hair irons can be very useful for the formal evening in the cruise. For European Cruises, you will need an international power converter, a device used for processing alternating-current (AC) or direct-current (DC) power to provide a compatible electrical waveform.
Some must-have gadgets aboard a cruise are:
1. Digital Cameras
Cameras are perfect for cruise trips. The best part of having a digital camera is you can store good quality and nice-angled shots while disposing of all blurry and low quality photos.
2. Laptop Computers
To keep the travellers connected with their loved ones back home, WiFi zones are now standard on most cruise ships. You can use the Internet through a WiFi connection to your personal laptops.
3. Global Positioning System – GPS
The purpose of a GPS is to tell you exactly where you are. Regardless of the sea level you are in, the GPS can easily trace a route at sea and track down locations on land. With a GPS, you can also know the weather climate of a particular place.
4. Two-Way Radio
If you are travelling with a group, it is better to have a two-way radio so that you can communicate just in case you go different ways in the different parts of the ship.
5. Cell Phone
Contact your service provider so that your mobile phone can pick up signals in every port that you visit. Note there will be special rates for this service, so do not use it for casual conversation. However, when you encounter an emergency, cellphones will be very useful.
